It's just one of the many good things Motor Trend magazine had to say about Chevrolet Volt when it was named "2011 Motor Trend Car of the Year?." The annual award is one of the most prestigious honors bestowed in the auto industry and further proof that it's a new day for Chevrolet, not to mention the entire auto industry. Powered by electricity without being tethered to electrical outlets, the Volt does everything a great car does and, according to Motor Trend, better than any other. It's further proof that today, tomorrow and on into the future, Chevy Runs Deep.

Chevrolet Pickups No. 1 For Car Thieves

If you drive a GM pickup like the Chevrolet Silverado, you may be in for some rough times with car theft. It seems that in the West Virginia region of America, pickup trucks are the Number 1 choice for car thieves.

But it's not really new Chevy trucks that are becoming huge targets for car robbers. A National Crime Insurance Bureau report states the most stolen vehicle in West Virginia was the 1990 full-size…

As part of a new initiative, Chevy dealers like Southworth Chevrolet in Bloomer, WI will have the opportunity to give back to the Earth.

Chevrolet plans on installing solar-powered electric charging stations at dealerships across North America, in order to help those test driving and purchasing the Volt sedan. Dealer stations will generate electricity equivalent to 12 vehicle charges a day. Any extra electricity produced will go towards powering the dealership itself.

Chevrolet deliberately planned a temporary production stoppage of the Volt this June, which means there will be limited availability of the EV until August. According to Chevy spokesperson Robert Peterson, there are now roughly 200 Volt models available nationwide.

Why would Chevy plan such a stoppage with only 200 models available in the U.S.? Simple: They're looking toward the future.

Chevy decided to hit the pause button on Volt production to make space…

One-hundred years ago, Chevrolet was founded by Swiss-born American racing pioneer, Louis-Joseph Chevrolet. To celebrate the company's venerable racing heritage, the American automaker has created a special 2012 Chevrolet Centennial Edition Corvette.

"Racing and performance are the roots of Chevrolet, a tradition carried forward today by Corvette," says Rick Scheidt, Vice President Marketing, Chevrolet. "The Centennial Edition not only celebrates our 100 years, it once again pushes Corvette forward for a new generation of…

Chevrolet is no longer concerned about defining their brand with ultra-rugged trucks and SUVs. In fact, they'd prefer not to. Over the past couple of years, the American automaker has been busy redefining themselves as industry experts on, fun-to-drive, fuel-efficient vehicles. And, can you blame them? We're certainly not going to see $2.00/gallon gas again, anytime soon. We'll be lucky if the marquees drop to $3.00 again.

The Chevrolet Camaro ZL 1 was a performance master from the day it first debuted in 1969. And now, Chevrolet is bringing it back as the most technologically advanced Camaro ever built.

"[The 2012] Camaro ZL1 is about high-tech performance and design, and is a type of car no one has ever brought to this segment previously," says Rick Sheidt, Vice President Marketing, Chevrolet. "It's the most technically advanced Camaro ever, so we've…

The hybrid electric Chevrolet Volt, General Motor's first and best alternative fuel vehicle, is making such a huge dent in their sales numbers that an increase of production has been ordered by the American auto maker.

The company posted a 25% increase in sales so far in 2011. This is mostly due to the popularity of its all new Volt, redesigned Chevrolet Malibu and first-gen Chevrolet Cruze. In fact, the auto maker sold over…

Since its 1967 model-year inception the Chevolet Camaro has been in a constant sales race with the Blue Oval's Mustang. Having watched this popularity contest closely over the years, Southworth Chevrolet is very excited to share news that the Chevrolet Camaro is starting to leave the Wild Horse choking on its dust.

As always the proof is in the numbers. The Camaro has steadily outpaced its top competing pony car for the first four…

2012 Chevrolet Malibu Revealed

The 2012 Chevrolet Malibu is ready to go! It's looking like a beefed-up version of the Chevrolet Cruze. Malibu comes with better design features, safety options and engine choices.
