It seems that some people are still skeptical about electric vehicles, but before you say no to the Chevy Volt, consider this:

If someone offered you an extra $1,000 a year just for doing your daily commute, running errands, and going on the occasional weekend trip, would you take it?

This isn't just a hypothetical question.  Chevy says that the average Volt owner goes between 900 miles before refilling the gas engine the powers the car's on-board generator.  With regular charges, this saves the owner about $1,300 in fuel costs every year.
