As the Collector Edition model's name and Perry suggest, the new Corvette 427 revives the 427-cubic-inch LS7 engine first used in the 1966 Corvette Convertible. Putting a fresh spin on the iconic model, Chevrolet employed lightweight, carbon-fiber elements and modern styling to bring down the vehicle's weight to 3,355-lbs. Combined with the extraordinarily powerful 505-hp engine, the 427 Convertible can achieve a jaw-dropping sprint time of 0- to 60-miles per hour in a mere 3.8-seconds. Yep, that sounds pretty vigorous to us. In fact, company officials are saying that the upcoming Chevrolet Collectors Edition will be one of the fastest convertibles in the world, beating out even some of the toughest competitors like the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet and R8 5.2 RSI Spyder.

For those with their eye on a different Chevrolet Corvette, the automaker will also offer its 60^th anniversary package for any 2013 model year variants. The package will include the following fantastic features:
